︎ Stories⎟  Art at the Rendon

 PRODUCTION DESIGNER
An immersive operatic work that transformed the Rendon Hotel in downtown  Los Angeles through a layering of film projection and live performances  activating both the exterior and interior of the vacant hotel. Each room in the  abandoned hotel was transformed into a character’s habitat created in  collaboration with each performer.  Stories were told of “their character’s lives”  while in the space over three performance nights.  An opera singer who  “resided” in one of the rooms invited all in. The audience chose how they  wished to wander through the space. Everyone’s experience engaging with the  performance was unique.
